Controlling the Weather with Favor

And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is this not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.

God Brings out the Sun on A Cold Day

On a cold-harsh winter day, I said, Jesus, send out the sun just until we get to the entrance of our place. I pleaded with Jesus to send the sun out to warm us up. Me and my husband were having an interesting conversation while we got off the bus, walking home. I interrupted my husband briefly, putting in this prayer request to Jesus because I was freezing. Sometimes, my husband says he is cold but that day he did not say anything to me. As we kept walking towards our home, I suddenly felt heat. I did not pay attention because I kept talking to my husband. Then the heat was burning the upper right side of my leg. I felt it through the blue-jean fabric. I looked up to the sky and I told my husband, look the sun is out! He said, I know. Then, I said very loud as I looked up to the sky, “Thank you Jesus”! Then, I told Jesus, sorry Jesus, but can you not make it too, too hot, the sun is burning my leg. I did not realize that the Lord heard my prayer. As soon we got to the entrance of the door of our building, the sun left immediately. I then brought it to my husband’s attention. I said, did you see that? The sun left as soon we went into the building towards our apartment! He said, I did. As we walked into the building to our place, I realized that Jesus cares about such matters that matter to me. I thanked Jesus in my mind for caring.

Ask, Seek and Knock

I do not know how I got favor with Jesus when it comes to the weather that is either too hot or too cold for me, but I do. When this happened to me the first time, I had to test this before I received it as being real from jesus. To make sure it was Jesus that did this for me, I asked Jesus to give me verses in the Bible where people had favor with the weather as I did. He gave me just one verse in the Bible, Joshua 10:13 King James Version. I do remember when I was young, I heard this preacher say this, the children of God can obtain control of the weather. As I listened, to this minister, I prayed silently in my heart to Jesus. I said, Jesus, I want to control the weather when I grow up, so that I can protect my family. The love of a child creates imaginations of power and happiness, not really understanding the meaning of the Bible.

Matthew 7:7 King James Version
7.) Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

Righteousness is Jesus

Seeking after Jesus’ righteousness also helps to have favor with Jesus.

1 John 2:29 King James Version
29.) If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

Matthew 5:6 King James Version
6.) Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

James 5:16 King James Version
16.) Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Matthew 6:33 King James Version
33.) But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
