I am Spiritual
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. Romans 8:9 KJV
One day, Jesus told me to say to the Devil, I am spiritual. I do not remember what I was battling but I needed help, because I felt like my prayer was not doing anything to the kingdom of the the wicked. As soon as I said this statement, I am spiritual, it affected the evil spirits affecting me because something broke off of me and I was able to pray powerful prayers.
My understanding of, I am spiritual, is that Jesus is guiding me in every area of my life in my spirit, not in my flesh, through his Holy Spirit. We must let him do this by faith. Others that are spiritual are Jesus angels, our family members in heaven, our pets that have passed away. Our pets that have passed away are like angels protecting us but working with Jesus. I have a feeling that only born-again people’s pet/s make it to heaven. An unsaved person’s pets just dies and does not go to hell. That is just my opinion.
As a child of Jesus, it is important to operate now on earth in the spirit with Jesus. As impossible as it sounds it is possible for those who are born-again still alive on earth. The reason is that God is a Spirit and all must worship him in the spirit. We have the ability to do that through Jesus name. These are some of the areas a saved Christian operates in the spirit:
1.) Be filled with the Spirit.
2.) Lust after the Spirit not the flesh: For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. Galatians 5:17 KJV
3.) Live in the Spirit: If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Galatians 5:25 KJV
4.) Live by the Fruit of the Spirit: But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. Galatians 5:22-24 KJV
5.) Let the Holy Spirit of Jesus comfort you not sin: But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 14:26 KJV
6.) Let the Spirit of Jesus the Holy Spirit teach you: Ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. 1 John 2:27 KJV
7.) Live in royalty because Jesus is a King so live in your new race in the spirit:
9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. 1Peter 9-10 KJV. For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Philippians 3:20 KJV
8.) Pray in the Spirit: Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Romans 8:26 KJV
9.) Renew your mind living by the Bible-Jesus WORD to align your mind with Jesus ‘mind:
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of Go. Romans 12:2 KJV
10.) Sleep in the Spirit: When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet. Proverbs 3:24 KJV
11.) Walk in the Spirit: This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. Galatians 5:16 KJV
12.) Worship Jesus in the Spirit.
Your Flesh and Spirit Fight Against each Other
For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. Galatians 5:17 KJV
What is the Lusts of the Flesh
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 1 John 2:16 KJV
Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. Romans 13:13 KJV
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Galatians 5:19 KJV
